Snowdonia national park is a place close to our hearts which we love to explore at length. Climbing the Ranger route to the summit of Snowdon in January was an experience we’ll never forget; and one everyone should try out! Lake views, ice-covered caps and steep rocky outcrops are waiting for you to find them in this far flung corner of north west Wales.

The Tongariro Alpine Circuit is a walk that is popular for travellers due to the fact that it can be done in a day (just about - it’s 19km), you can see some of the best sights on the trail and fairly quickly. We hiked the Tongariro Northern Circuit, which is an extended trail walk and covers 46km. Essentially, the alpine crossing is the middle section of the walk we did.

We have travelled all over the world and we always seek out new walks, hikes or climbs. Connecting with the land in this way allows us to fully explore a place and see it from different points of view, literally, physically and mentally.
